What a tour with a visiting orchestra needs on the ground
A visiting orchestra rarely lands all at once. Musicians, conductor, soloists and management arrive on different flights, the instruments often separately through a freight forwarder. Arrival day is therefore the day with the most unknowns.
Then come travel days, concert days and departure day. We plan each of them as its own day type and send you a quote you can pass on to the orchestra.

Touring days with a lead driver
City to city, hotel instead of sleeper bus, every leg planned against driving and rest times; the lead driver is the tour manager's contact.
Borders, customs, low emission zones
ATA carnet for instruments on tours outside the EU, registrations for the low emission zones in Brussels and Antwerp, emission class 6 for Amsterdam: done before departure.
Fixed conditions
Agencies with regular demand work through the partner programme with a fixed price matrix and committed availability. Members of the German BDKV receive special conditions.

Who handles ground transport for a visiting orchestra touring Germany?
TOUR LOUNGE takes on the whole ground movement: arrival day at the airport, touring days with a lead driver, transfers on concert days and the departure day, with one contract and one contact for every city and country.
We have a regular coach partner. Why TOUR LOUNGE?
As a second source. Every regular partner fails once or is fully booked at peak times. You name us as the alternative, with no minimum volume and no exclusivity, on conditions agreed in advance.
Can we book only the arrival and departure days?
Yes. Arrival and departure days at Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Cologne/Bonn, Amsterdam, Brussels, Luxembourg and Hamburg can be booked on their own, even when another partner runs the tour itself.
What applies to orchestras from the United Kingdom or Switzerland?
Their instruments usually need an ATA carnet on entering and again on leaving the EU. We build border time into the plan and coordinate customs and document questions with your production management; the application lies with the agency or orchestra.
Are there fixed conditions for agencies?
Yes, through the partner programme: from Preferred Partner a price matrix fixed for twelve months, committed availability and a contractual replacement vehicle guarantee. Members of the German BDKV receive special conditions.
Do you name references?
No. We name no clients, artists or ensembles. Your client stays your client. We start with a pilot and a debrief with numbers instead.
